We just had time to visited the spacious butterfly house filled with lush plants and colorful flowers, habitat to 2,000 butterflies of different species.

At dusk, we returned to the visitors center for dinner, followed with a presentation by April Lupardus Waltz, Alabama Wildlife Federation Conservation Education Specialist and Outdoor Classroom Coordinator. The Outdoor Classrooms Program offers outstanding technical and organizational support for schools that wish to create outdoor classroom sites on their school grounds.
